Honestly, seeing Steve in action as a fully fledged office leader. He’s come a long way since we were both graduates in the London office in 2016, and I am really proud of what he has achieved!
The LHi Passport Spotlight: Sam's adventure
At LHi Group, we’re all about embracing adventure, both at work and in life. That’s why, after five years with us, our LHi’ers earn the coveted LHi Passport, allowing them to experience a week at any of our global offices.
It’s a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a new culture, meet colleagues from all corners of the globe, and expand your horizons.
In line with our identity statement, “We are adventurous,” this benefit is all about exploring, connecting, and stepping out of your comfort zone. In this series, we’ll hear from those who have recently used their LHi Passport, sharing their experiences and the impact it’s had on them.
This time, we’re hearing from Piper Maddox's Senior Vice President, Sam Keay.
Which global office did you choose for your LHi Passport trip, and why?
I chose the LHi Berlin office! The head of the Berlin office was in the same graduate intake as me, so it was a great opportunity to catch up with him. It’s an amazing city, especially at the time of year we visited, AND it fit perfectly with our other travel plans.
How was your experience? What were your thoughts on that particular office?
We had the best time. Berlin exceeded our expectations on all fronts: climate, cuisine, sights, and accessibility. It was a great experience to visit one of our smaller, more ‘startup’ feel offices, especially coming from NYC, which has the second-largest headcount in the group. With fewer than ten employees, we were able to get to know every single LHi Berlin team member and truly feel like part of the team.
Could you share some details about what you did during your time there?
We did A LOT! From visiting many beer gardens, to trying all different types of restaurants but also immersed ourselves in the culture. We visited Brandenburg Gate, walked through the Berlin Wall Memorial, and explored Museum Island. Additionally, we got to experience some of what Berlin's nightlife had to offer! 😊
What was the most memorable moment of your experience?
